What is PennyGuard?
An AI assistant for your wallet. Connect a card and PennyGuard reads each transaction, shows the cashback or perk your card already offers on it, flags what's pulling from your account, and — when you confirm — cancels, claims refunds, or gets your bills lowered.
Do I have to connect my bank account?
Connecting is how PennyGuard finds things for you. It's read-only through Plaid: we see transactions, we can't move money, and we never see your bank login. You can add a card number instead — it's held by a certified payment provider, not by us.
Does it work with my bank?
If your bank is supported by Plaid, yes — that covers most US banks. You'll see during setup.
Cashback — who pays it, and when?
Your bank or card network pays it, on their terms, not ours. We show you which benefits your card offers on a purchase and what conditions apply. We don't pay cashback ourselves.
Can PennyGuard cancel a subscription for me?
For the services we support — over 1,000 of the largest US billers, plus Apple and Google — we prepare and send the cancellation. Some companies only accept it from you directly; there, you get the exact steps. The app tells you which applies before you start.
Is PennyGuard safe to use?
We can read your transactions and nothing else. We can't move money, and we never see your bank login.
What does it cost?
Membership is paid, and you'll see the exact price and billing period before anything is charged. Cancel in the app whenever you want.
