PennyGuard integrations

PennyGuard connects to your bank, cards and email to find what you pay for. Here is what each connection does and how to turn it off.

Overview

Connect once, through Plaid or your email

You can connect a bank or card through Plaid, an email inbox, or both. PennyGuard uses these connections to find your subscriptions and recurring bills, show what you spend each month and prepare the next step for you to confirm.

What you can connect

Banks and credit cards

Plaid connects your bank or card with read-only access. PennyGuard sees your transactions and never sees your bank login.

Gmail and Outlook

Connect an inbox so PennyGuard can find subscriptions, renewals and receipts that are easy to miss on a statement.

More than one account

Add another bank, card or inbox at any time, so charges from a second account are not missed.

PennyGuard uses connected data only to keep your list of subscriptions and bills up to date.

Transactions

Amounts, dates and merchant names help PennyGuard spot recurring charges and price changes.

Emails

PennyGuard looks only for subscription, bill and charge details. It does not store the full content of your emails.

Cancellation emails

If you ask PennyGuard to cancel a subscription, the request can be sent from your connected inbox. Nothing is sent without your request.

Your list

You confirm which subscriptions are yours, so PennyGuard only tracks what matters to you.
